This is a public, BLM-managed location. Their website has rules and regulations for collecting in BLM lands. Petrified wood can be found here at Hubbard Basin.	From the BLM website: "37 miles north of Wells, Nevada on Highway 93. Turn west; travel northwest on dirt roads, past Antelope Springs. Petrified wood site is about 13 miles from the pavement. " I tried to find it in Google Earth. Don't trust my directions of course, and I'm not sure BLM's are the best that they can be. If you google "Hubbard Basin, NV" it will be a few miles from my GPS mark.
