This ranch in the Big Bend area allows collecting for a small fee ($5 last time I checked) and is a great source of a wide variety of rocks & minerals from Big Bend & west Texas (thanks to gravity & water transportation).  Our group has found lots of large pieces of fossilized wood, agatized wood, agates, chalcedony, cinnabar, calcite, opal, garnet, amethyst, smoky quartz, shell fossils, ammonites, fluorescent rocks & minerals, arrowheads, scrapers & other lithic materials and many other things I don't know the names for. The coordinates are for the store at the ranch where you check in.  They will direct you to the boundaries. Don't cross any fences or you may end up in the Black Gap Wildlife Management Area where people are hunting (with guns, not for rocks). There are several creeks that run through the ranch which is the best place to find good specimens.  Primitive campsites are also available which is a good idea if you like to collect fluorescent minerals.  A walk around the area with a shortwave UV light on a string will expose a significant number of fluorescent specimens to pick from.  Some are from the coating, but many are fully fluorescent. The coordinates are for the store at the ranch where you check in. They will direct you to the boundaries.
