Description: (Cornaceae (Dogwood) Family (Cornus sp.). in collections). Note that it is diffuse porous wood with pronounced growth rings. Great little piece! Access to this great collecting locality was blocked a few years ago and it is now becoming more uncommon to see wood from Chimney Creek on the market.
