Description: This is a garnet in schist piece composed of dozens of small deep red dodecahedral almandine garnet crystals growing in a schist matrix rich in muscovite mica, dark green chlorite and biotite. These garnet crystals generally run between 1 and 3 mm in size and they are 12 sided.
