Handsome Cabinet Size Specimen: Light Pink Rhodochrosite on Quartz with Pb-Zn Ore Sulfides, Silverton District, San Juan County, Colorado
Fabulous snow-on-roof textures of rhodochrosite crystals overgrowing drusy quartz balls. Sphalerite, galena and euhedral pyrite crystals are abundant on one side of the specimen.
Specimen is ~ 7 inches (17.8 cm) X 5 inches (12.7 cm) X 3 inches (7.6 cm) and weighs ~ 4.2 pounds (1902 grams).
Nice specimen from classic mining district.
