Description: Pipe amygdules form when rising gas bubbles in a still molten basaltic flow stretch out to form tubular vesicles - these are then later occupied by native copper resulting in these amazing forms! The native copper "pipes" are solid and robust and actually show networks of crystalline features upon close study with a loupe or scope!
