DESCRIPTION OF THESE SPECIMENS: You are bidding on ALMANDITE GARNETS from the Bob Ingersoll Mine, Keystone, South Dakota. The Ingersoll Mine was one of the most significant mineral producers in the Black Hills. First, there are 9 grams of loose, gemmy, red crystals in a vial. Each crystal averages 1.0mm to 2.0mm in diameter. There are many crystals in the vial. They can be used to make garnet cluster jewelry if you desire. Second, a specimen of Garnets in Schist from the same location is included. The overall dimensions of this specimen are 8.0cm x 4.0cm x 1.0cm.
