Here is an exceptional thumbnail specimen of Yellow Garnets from the Lowell Mine in Eden Mills, Vermont. It is about 1 inch by 1/2 inch in size. Most of the crystals look like they are about 2mm in size. I collect this specimen in 1995 but found very few of these. In the 1990's it was legal to collect at the mine. Today it is NOT OPEN to collecting as it is a super fund site.
