Details: From the Utah Geology website, Location #31, it says: "Chabazite, stilbite, heulandite, mordenite, scolecite, calcite, and quartz
This is a relatively large zeolitized area similar in mineralogy to the Durkee Creek areas, but with larger vugs and better crystallized material."
Directions: From the Utah Geology website, Location #31, it says: "Directions to site: From Marysvale, drive south 2 miles from the city limit (about 3.5 miles from downtown Marysvale) and turn left on a paved road paralleling the highway. After 0.25 mile turn left on a dirt toad and follow this across the Sevier River, across the ridge on the other side, and continue to the abandoned Elbow Ranch. Continue on the main dirt road south from Elbow Ranch. The zeolite location is the first canyon north of Dry Canyon, where the road enters the mountains. A dim track left by deer hunters and mineral collectors leads from the road, across the sagebrush, to the mouth of the canyon. This track is not a designated BLM route and is not authorized for motorized travel. park on the main road and hike in the last 0.5 mile to the canyon mouth. Zeolites occur in the cliff and ledge forming rocks of the north wall of the canyon near its head. The hike is strenous from the mouth of the canyon to the collecting areas and there is no shade on the south-facing canyon wall. Map location of the canyon is S 1/2, Sec. 15, T.28 S., R. 2 1/2 W."
