Details: There is an exposure south of Magnet Cove Cemetery on Barite Mine Road just east of the intersection with Highway 51. I saw this but didn't stop there for some idiotic reason. This location is also mentioned in the Rockhounding in Arkansas website. It mentions you can find smoky quartz and brookite there. You probably should bring some heavy tools for splitting the outcropping rocks to get to the crystals. You will notice that other people have done the same.
Directions: In Magnet COve, on Barite Mine Road just east of the intersection with Highway 51.

stopped here in dec 2010 was real picked ofer or road was covering location either way was unable to find much worth talking about. just a couple of things in the ditch that may have been heavily worn brookite and some noncrystal smokey quartz we tilled around on the shoulder and ditch where you can see others did but didnt find anything really
