Details: Here is the information that is found from the BLM website: "Ferdelford Canyon crinoids, brachiopods, corals. 13 miles south of Carlin on Highway 278. Tam east at ranch. Fossils are in round orange hills on north side of road just before the cliffs, about 2.5 miles up the dirt road." I believe they meant "turn east at the ranch".
Directions: Here are the directions from the BLM website: "13 miles south of Carlin on Highway 278. Turn east at ranch. Fossils are in round orange hills on north side of road just before the cliffs, about 2.5 miles up the dirt road." Using Google Earth, I have located a building (that can be the ranch) and a left turn on South Highway 278 around 13 miles from Carlin, the GPS coordinates below are for that intersection. This may not be the correct turn, but it seems like the dirt road from this turn goes towards some cliffs within 2-3 miles, which matches the description.
