Location Type: Public Access
Details: Information about finding this crystalline fossil called biconoids can be found on findarock.com. On someone's blog, you can also find fossilized whale bones in the Templeton area. However, I think California law may say that you can't collect fossils with vertabrae. It may have been on the BLM website.
Directions: It mentions the fields around a Templeton hospital on Las Tablas road to the west of highway 101.
GPS Coordinates (lat,long): ( 3533'16.05"N, 12042'59.77"W)
or (35.554458, -120.716602)
Google Map: (The GPS marker is supposed to be exact.)
