roadway⎯agate, native Copper, rock crystal (some with Amethyst tips) and Andradite
garnets;".  The mineral selection sounds great to me, but don't know what it is like there or if the information is dated.

Scott (webmaster) - Nov 16, 2012 05:19:53 AM EST Thanks for the update!  It's always the trouble with these sources grabbing out of date sites.  That's why I put them on here so people like you can correct them. destravlr - Nov 11, 2012 11:13:14 PM EST This information is at least 40 years out of date. There is no longer legal access to the area below Coolidge dam by non-tribal members or BIA staff. The road from the dam down to the Gila River is gated at the west end of the dam. I do not believe that camping/recreation permits are issued for access to the river. The tribe has forbidden or at least discouraged rafters and kayakers from reaching the river via the reservation.
