went here today, Aug 28. We had absolutly no idea what to look for other than \"dig in the red dirt\". Saw something that looked like broken glass and dug around and found a few clumps of selenite crystals no roses. Had no trouble finding the banded rhyolite, it's everywhere. Rained some so it kept it cool but very muddy. Very new to rock hunting, but I love rocks. Think we will go back. It was a fun day. Now that I found this site is see other places I'd like to go. THANKS!!
