Details: From Utah's Geology Website, location #17, it says: "Sandstone concretions within one of the horizons forming the caprock of the Mounds Reef contain abundant remains of pelcypods and cephalopods. Some coiled Specimens up to 6 inches have been found in this area."
Directions: From Utah's Geology Website, location #17, it says: "This site is located along the Emery-Carbon County line. From Wellington, proceed east on U.S. 6 and turn south on a good gravel road just past milepost 253. This road crosses to the Reef and travels along its crest before descending through the Reef to the railroad. As a starting point, search along the middle bench area where the road descends through the Reef. By taking a left after descending from the Reef, the road can be followed back to U.S. 6 at milepost 259. (if coming from that direction, take a right after leaving the highway.)"
